Me! Just plain ole me!
A bunch of things about me that I am sure you just did not want to know:
1. I love, love anything vanilla. Not a chocolate lover at all!
2. My favorite car out of anything I drove was my Volvo wagon IE "The mommy Mobile!" Literally, this wagon was like a truck/SUV/car combined! I carried so much stuff in it all the time, had anything happened, you could probably survive in it for a month.....include being feed and all! no joke!'
3. I love mint chocolate anything!
4. My biggest sweet obsession is Candy Cane kisses that only come out at Christmas! I honestly buy about $100 worth to last through the year and never does ( Please don't tell my husband!)
5. I love my husband today, more than the day I married him.
6. I balance my check book only by neurotically contacting the bank by automated service a couple times a week.
7. There are days that I never get out of my PJ's. I will walk outside to the mailbox, pick up the newspaper, talk to the neighbors and I just don't care.
8. I think my children are my greatest accomplishment in life.
9. I really love my parents. They weren't perfect and neither am I. We both made mistakes and it will be very hard on me when they go.
10. My oldest sister and I could not stand each other growing up and now she is one of my very best friends. I would be very lost with out her.
11. I love, love, animals but my favorite are my cats! My husband and I are seriously obsessed with them.
12. My favorite colors are pink and green but not I am not big on preppy stuff. However, I do love classics.
13. I have an obsession with Cowboy boots and jeans. I could literally wear them everyday.
14. I am the same way about flip-flops.
15. I was not the best student in High School ( A, B student) but it was not because I was not smart. It was because I cared to much about talking.
16. Did I tell you that my nick name in school was "Motor Mouth?" Not sure what happened, but I the older I get, the less I like to talk......
17. I think I don't like talking much anymore because I have to talk all day in my job. The funny thing is that is why they hired me to do the job I have now. It was because I could talk to a wall.
18. I carry on complete conversations with strangers all the time. By the end of our conversation, I either have their phone number or email. This drives my family (Hubby and sons) crazy. They don't want to go out in public with me.
19. I do not believe in getting tattoo's. ( not sure where this comes from. Probably passed down from my mom!)
20. I like to cuss when I get mad. It makes me feel better for some reason! I will not repeat my word of choice.
21. I have a really bad back! I have had two back surgeries but before that, I have scoliosis, spondolytis, 3 calcified discs, advanced osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease. Doc's not sure where it came from. They said usually comes from some sort of trauma accident.
22. When I was in first grade, I was riding a horse bare back and it bucked me off. The horse came down on top of my should and arm and I spent a long time in a cast. My parents had to rent a hospital bed for me to sleep in and I had to sleep sitting up for months. They would have go tie me around the chest so I would stay sitting up and I fought them every night. My poor parents.
23. I love my crock pot.
24. I get nauseated if someone smacks their food and eats with their mouth open at the table. I hate bad table manners.
25. When we were growing up, my parents made all of us sit at the table at night for dinner. They harped on us about our table manners.
26. When you want to know what something is we are eating, please don't take your finger and touch the food and ask what it is!
27. The same goes for sticking your nose right up to the food. You drop something in my food from your nose, no telling what I will do!
28. If I see or touch chewed gum, I instantly feel sick at my stomach.
29. I despised math in school.
30. I am a catholic, Methodist, christian girl! I went to catholic church my whole life until seven years ago. I love my church, I love my pastor, but you can't take the catholic girl out of me!
So, did you care to know that about me?!?! Probably not but it sure did feel good releasing it!!

Pop's and his clippings!
Well my Pops contacted me last week and asked me if I wanted some daisy clippings for my yard......Well of course I said yes! My Pops asked "How much do you want?" and I said "Give me what you can!" Fast forward a week.... So Pops calls me yesterday and wants me to pick up my clippings and get them planted in the yard, like NOW! (If you knew my dad, you would know he would say it EXACTLY Like that!) Having just got back from a week long work trip to Tucson, I was just so dang "Exhausted!" (Yes, there is that word again!) AND I was running a fever. So I sent one of my son's to go pick up the bag from Pops. Wow! You would NOT believe the amount of clippings we received!!! I wish I had taken a picture of the bag but forgot. Anyhow, so I am laying in bed yesterday and today and everytime I make my way to the kitchen, I see this large bag full of clippings laying in my path. Dang! Why did I have to be so ambitious wanting these clippings?!?! I am tired and exhausted and wha, wha, wha!!! As my strenght finders assesment will tell you, it ranked "Responsibility" as a VERY high trait of mine. That means that people like me are neurotic and have to get things done if they say they will. I promise you, not always such a good trait! So I go back to bed feeling really lousy and wandering what am I to do and then in comes Mr.to lay down with me......... Hmmmmmmm. Well, with a little "Wha,Wha" ( No, I am not proud of it, just not feeling well), I am oustide with the Mr. rooting those lovely clippings and it gets knocked out in no time. See look how beautiful! ( This is just one of the many pots we used. ) So here's the key before rooting...... Use this very wonderful stuff below-Rooting powder. Put on the tip of the roots and plant. We should have some really pretty plants in the Spring!!

Blogging-Should I or shouldn't I?
I am a person that loves, loves, loves to try new things, especially when it comes to food. New recipes, new restuarants, new cooking gadgets, etc..... I often find myself sharing and giving feedback regarding my foodie ventures to many different people. So, my thought process was.......Why not in one place? It's not that I really want to become a blogger, more just a history of things that I have tried and recommend (and NOT recommend). I work a FT job but in my off time, my love is food......Good food, healthy food, different food, green food, some junk food, ethnic food, basically any adjective you can put in front of the word "Food." I also like to share and recieve those special recipes that are so good at our family parties, parties, etc.... So should I or should't I? That is the question.........Hmmm.
On a last note, how did I come up with the name "Part Duex"? Well, Mr. and I are going to be empty nesters in about four months...(Boo-hoo!!....... Seriously!!!) and after being a mother for the past 19 years, I am determined to live a full, vibrant life and find something that I enjoy doing in my off time now that being a mother FT is changing. So, as my blog title refers too- " Here is to Part Deux ( The second part) of my life!"
On a last note, how did I come up with the name "Part Duex"? Well, Mr. and I are going to be empty nesters in about four months...(Boo-hoo!!....... Seriously!!!) and after being a mother for the past 19 years, I am determined to live a full, vibrant life and find something that I enjoy doing in my off time now that being a mother FT is changing. So, as my blog title refers too- " Here is to Part Deux ( The second part) of my life!"
